i have only had the monitor for just over a week and i am loving it. Games look great. i have no issues with the brightness. Friends think it looks great. The 138Hz is when its overclocked. i was in two minds wither to buy this but glad i did so far no complaints.

The pros: nice image, matte screen reduces reflections. The cons: Right then, here we go.Unreliable. Doesn’t always wake with the PC. Got worse after a firmware update that fixed a problem with it constantly nagging to do a pixel refresh. It still moans about it too regularly.Unreliable. Mine blew up when I dared to plug a device in to one of its HDMI socketsOver agressive dimming which you can’t turn off rules it out for any sort of productivity work, including photo editing.Doesn’t like 50Hz at 4K (Sky Q, for example). Sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t.Only accepts PCM audio. Will not accept Dolby Digital or Atmos audio.Webcam mount – good idea in theory, but the tripod hole is nowhere near the top of the screen. No idea how you can mount a webcam using that.In summary, a lovely bit of gear totally ruined by awful firmware, bugs and reliability. I swapped mine for a normal LG C2 which has the advantage of having TV apps and TV abilities for less money, and just working as you expect it to.

Its beautiful display with too many issues, shouldn’t be sold to the public, as the monitor is not ready yet, Asus hasn’t finished the job. I have to send it back after one week of use, the panel develop horizontal lines a cross is visible on grey background, also HDR is washed out. After upgrading to V033, and couldn’t wake up the monitor after restarting, I have to switch the monitor off and turn it back on manually, on V033 HDR was even worse (the colours were extremely washed out in HDR). What is the point of having HDR and not using it? I had no choice but to roll back to the previous my original V028 firmware. Most people are complaining about it, costing too much money with too many issues. I have no chance to play one game. It is a shame that Asus cannot still resolve the issue. Will definitely wait for the next release, I hope to be better with improvement. Come on Asus please fix this with an update or the next monitor version. Thanks to Amazon for all help, and amazing customer service.

There is nothing else to say here: it is an awesome piece of hardware.I read people complaining about the sound and speakers.I had to dismantle my 5.1 surround system because of space limitations and naturally there is a difference but it mostly depends on the type of sound coding/soundtrack.I have an optical output for high end headphones from my rig so it doesn’t bother me that much and gaming and film watching is more than adequate.I use the monitor for cinema, gaming, video/image & sound edition, web surfing.Update firmware to the latest one.For the lucky price I paid for it, it was worth every penny but it took me 8 months to buy it for the money I was willing to spend.Buy it, if you can afford it.I am not downgrading from OLED ever.

I’ve had every monitor going and spent years switching between monitors. There’s always been something missing and this monitor has everything you will ever need.OLED is the future for gaming and going back to my older games has been a blast.Amazing.

i upgraded to this from a PG348Q.Really blown away by my new monitor, the colours are so vivid and the image so crisp.still learning how to make use of all the features etc but so far am very happy.its really really huge and quite heavy, so make sure you have the necessary deskspace for it and have room enough to move your mouse / keyboard and sit back so its not too overwhelming up close. Also make sure you got a decent enough GPU to make the most of it too when gaming.

Ordered the first, dead/stuck pixel dead centre of screen. Ordered the second, while other was being returned… Yet again a stuck pixel to the top left of the screen, and a spot of dust/dirt trapped under the bottom right of the panel. Exhausting and completely unacceptable quality control. Don’t have the will to gamble on a 3rd, and at this point i believe these are previously returned monitors repackaged by asus. One monitor was even missing the protective plastic from the front badge too(despite coming in a sealed box), which possibly reinforces my opinion.Very, very poor.

If you can grab it on sale, DO it
so last night i swapped out my omen 27qs 240 hz monitor for this beauty, and it did NOT disappoint. got it on sale for 800 and this is the best monitor ive ever owned, the colors are amazing, brightness is adjustable and very bright. the quality of the monitor itself feels premium and assembly literally took like 15 seconds. the refresh rate on this thing for the resolution and its size is awesome. its HUD/settings offer really good customization and it’s easy to navigate.i see many people saying the curvature is aggressive, and to that i say you arent wrong, but that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. it’s just not for everyone. gaming has been awesome on it, it’s so immersive. words can be a bit hard to read and i did encounter a little confusion regarding HDR but ultimately didn’t delve into it as it didn’t matter for me. if your main focus is productivity this probably isn’t the monitor for you, a 30 inch would sufficient.
