500Hz / 480Hz Settings Stopped Working After A Few Months
I really loved this monitor when I first got it. It was a really neat experience coming from a 144Hz monitor to 500Hz but then some unfortunate things happened. I bought this around August 2024 and it wasn’t until around November 2024 is when I was getting problems. By problems, I meant that I my monitor stopped working when it was set to 500Hz (Overclocked) which didn’t give me any problems until then. So I turned off the Overclock and the Max Hz that I could do was 480Hz. Not until January 1, 2025 is when even 480Hz stopped working. (By not working, I meant that if I have the monitor set up as either 500hz or 480hz, the monitor would just stay blank. I could see the light coming from it but it’s just black.)So once I have it set to a lower Hz (360hz), it’s working. It’s displaying my desktop just fine and it’s working normally like it should.I do want to add on that whenever I do have it set at 480hz, there’s like a horizontal screen tear from the bottom half of the monitor then it’ll fully turn blank black. The monitor is still on mind you, it’s just displaying a black screen.I don’t know if anyone else is having this issue, I can’t really contact customer support until New Years is over but I’ll keep updated.

Amazing
Off the rip this monitor is amazing, very easy to assemble, no screws etc, it’s on the lighter side as in weight, and performs like a beast, I was hearing some other people say the brightness looks bad but no it looks perfectly fine on my end and I even messed with the settings and it looks even better, very responsive as well, the last complain I saw was that it gets hot and that’s not true at all mine is actually cold and cool and I have a hot room. Overall 5/5 stars I would recommend and only to people who can get the full 500 fps other wise it’s not worth it unless you are thinking about upgrading your pc.

Alienware’s AW2524HF: Another lifelong gamers insight on this 2023 500hz 1080p panel
+The monitor’s an Absolute Unit when games can be pushed this fast consistently, being a 1080p 500hz IPS panel gives it a more accurate pixel color and Ludicrously fast response time with any input you give it.-needs an upper mid-range or better pc to really make this panel show you what its capable of.

Horrible Defects
Just bought this monitor. Refresh rate is promising while everything else is horrible. Screen came with burn in and horrible clarity and quality. When I requested Amazon for an exchange(when I bought the monitor for $450) they claimed that they could only refund me the money, basically telling me to go spend another $150. This wouldn’t have been a problem if the screen wasn’t defective from the start.

Pointless
I returned this monitor mainly because it’s a pointless product. Even on the highest end PCs will you rarely see 500hz, 1080p or not. You’re much better off going for picture quality and staying around 240hz max refresh rate, maybe 300hz if you’re feeling cheeky.
