Was really excited for this but the laptop suffered a catastrophic malfunction on my second day of playing on it. Complete power failure and the laptop will not turn on at all. Now have to start the refund process. Went onto razers website in hopes of a solution but their website it’s utter crap and useless. The more I dug the more I found out that they brag a lot of about the quality of their products but the internet says otherwise. Many people have posted comments and reviews complain about the poor quality or short lifespan of their products.Didn’t like the layout of the laptop. Positioning of the keys in relation to the size of the laptop and the ridiculous size of the touch pad made it annoying to use while playing games that use the wasd layout. Overall, not happy or impressed. This was my first and will be my last razer product I buy.

Review of the razer 18 with 4080 (2024 version)Heavy but justified by great quality material.Screen is just great especially with hdr and local dimming on.Speakers are good. I have a MacBook Pro 16 m1 and I’d say 70% of the time MacBook sounds better. But for podcast I prefer sound from razer which can get louder.Fans. Ok-ish when idle. Noisy in turbo mode. I have played in balanced mode so far which gets around 10 fps less but much quieter.Performance is great so far. I have been playing Indiana jones with path tracing and all setting to highest with dlss fg and it gets around 80 to 100 frames which is more than I expected.Trackpad is good but it doesn’t seem to have the same haptic as my MacBook.Haven’t tried it on battery and I didn’t buy it to use it on battery.Best thing about it is the quality of the construction of the laptop.

Poor build quality. I don’t understand how it appears to be built like a tank, but still has creaks (ie panel movement) just like a cheap poorly built laptop

I have had a number of fast laptops over the last 20 years. Some with LCD and OLED screens, but this is the first Micro LED backlit device that I own.1. The screen is very very bright.. You can see Halo around objects, when running Dark mode, but I run mine at 60% HDR mode, and its plenty bright enough and reduces the Halo effect.2. The speakers are the best I have ever had on a laptop (Gigabyte Aorus has awful speakers)3. Weight. Its very heavy, so bear that in mind.4. Cost. Its a very expensive laptop, and I am pleased to say that it feels like it. Its solid, no keyboard flex.5. Wifi 7. I have an enterprise Zyxel Wifi 7 access point (with a 10Gbit network connection). I have managed o get transfer speeds over 250MB/s over Wifi 7 (about 4 Meters away and through a wall). Its fantastic.6. The Razer software…..is not great. I prefer the Corsair software solution, but it is what it is.My device has the 14900HK and Nvidia 4080 Laptop GPU and the Mini LED screen.

This laptop is the very best and a very fast machine with the 4090 RTX 4k ray tracing super fast with the ada lovelace DLSS 3 awesome performance image quality and less ghosting with the cpu benchmarked 13950 hx vs 12950 hx there is a very clear winner with 9% as an average in the i9-13950hx with bouncing between cores at just 44% it gives the MCS (Muilt Core Speed) 64 core good clear advantagetake it from me you will not be disappointed!!!!!
